Data Controller

The Data Controller for personal data collected through this website is ACARBIO – Associazione Costiera Amalfitana Riserva Biosfera, reachable at info@riservabiosferacostiera.org.

What data we collect and why

We only collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it by filling in one of the forms on this site:

  • Contact form: name, email address and optional message, used to answer your request.
  • Waiting-list sign-up forms (e.g. sea turtle conservation project, volunteering): name, email and the additional information the form asks for (e.g. period or area of interest), used solely to contact you back about the opportunity you signed up for.

We do not collect special category data (GDPR Art. 9) and we do not carry out automated profiling.

Legal basis and retention

Processing is based on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6.1.a), given when you submit a form. We keep your data for as long as needed to handle your request or waiting-list entry, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless you ask us to delete it earlier.

Who we share data with

Data is processed by authorised ACARBIO volunteers and staff, and hosted with our hosting provider (Aruba S.p.A.). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

Google Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to collect anonymous, aggregated statistics about site usage (pages visited, traffic sources), which help us understand how to improve the content and projects we share. This service may set technical and measurement cookies on your device. You can block these cookies through your browser settings, or through the opt-out add-on Google provides at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Your rights

At any time you can ask us to: access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, object to processing, or receive it in a portable format. To exercise these rights, write to info@riservabiosferacostiera.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
